Hey guys, I have something very special for you in this week’s blog. Last week I gave you the 10 keys to success and I though this week I will give you the 7 habits for success. Habits are so important for getting what you want. If you can get into the right habits then you will do the right thing more often. You will do the things you need to do to succeed. It’s not always easy doing things like working out, getting up early, reading, etc. But, if you can do those things everyday and turn them into a habit/routine, it gets a little easier. So, habits are important for your success, because even if you go on autopilot, you will have gotten into the habit of doing the right things.
- There is no magic:
- You need to sacrifice and pay the price to get what you want. People always ask me how I have been able to get to where I am today. They make it seem like there is some secret or some magic potion. But really, there is no magic. You just have to sacrifice. You have to be willing to give up some things for your success. You can’t have it all.
- I say you have to give up something because there are only 24 hours in a day, and you can’t do everything. You cannot be everything. So, you have to decide what matters to you and sacrifice the rest.
- Good habits lead to success:
- I know that we are talking about 7 habits, but technically building good habits, is a habit in itself. Anyways, you have to stay away from bad habits and build good ones. Like I mentioned earlier, good habits are the key to your success. This is because you won’t always feel motivated, and you wont always be excited. But, if you have built good habits then you will do the right things, even when you don’t feel like it.
- Any action is better than no action:
- You have to always do something. If you need to start a project but you don’t know where to start or even how to do it, it’s better to just start and learn along the way. One example is a lot of students in the YouTube course are usually nervous about making their webinar because they are not used to being on camera. They put it off for days, weeks or even months because they want it to be perfect. But I always tell them to just make the webinar. It can only become perfect once they do it a few times. So, just start whatever it is you want to do and then perfect it as you go.
- Work first. Reward comes second:
- I know this may seem obvious, but a lot of people forget about this. So many people want to have their rewards first before they really do anything. I think this may be because we now live in a world where it’s easy to get pleasure quickly. You have social media, TV, video games, and all this other stuff where you just get pleasure without really doing anything. But none of that stuff means anything. To get any lasting pleasure, you must work first, and get your rewards later.
- Control the devil in your head:
- You have to be highly disciplined to become successful. When I say the devil, I mean your subconscious really. Your subconscious loves to be lazy and put things off and thing negative thoughts. It just wants you to do whatever will make life easier for you. What do I mean by this? Well, think about this, how many times have you tried to get out of bed early and your brain just tell you to go back to sleep. Or, you want to go to the gym, but this voice just tells you to go tomorrow. That’s the devil I am talking about. But, in order to be successful, you have to do what you know is right, even if your subconscious tries to tell you otherwise.
- Make your health a priority at all costs:
- You cannot make excuses as to why you are not taking care of your health. You always must make time to exercise, and you need to east healthy food. You only get one body and one chance to take care of it. If you do not take care of your body and mind, how do you think you will be successful. If you are constantly eating bad foods that cloud your brain, how are you going to function at the level required for you to be highly successful? You can’t. So, you have to take care of your body and your mind no matter what.
- Deadlines for EVERYTHING:
- You have to make sure you actually put deadlines for all of the stuff that you want to get done, or else nothing will actually get done. There is always so much to do every day, and you need to keep track of it, but you also need to know when each thing has to be done so you can actually prioritize. Otherwise, you’ll just be running around like a headless chicken getting absolutely nothing done. Make sure you have deadlines for everything and watch how quickly you start to get stuff done.
